I think we can all agree that one of our biggest fears in a relationship is being dumped without even a hint that it’s going to happen. Because if we at least have a heads up, we can mentally prepare ourselves for it. We can protect our emotions a little. Luckily, there are a few signs that indicate someone may be gearing up to drop you.
1. You Don’t Have Sex Anymore
But if you do manage to hook up, it’s distant. It’s not connected. It feels completely different than it used to. Sure, you can blame it on the TV distracting them, but to be honest, that’s probably not it. When your sex life takes a plummet and you can’t seem to get it back (because they don’t seem interested) it could be because they’re getting ready to dump you.
2. They Don’t Care About Your Life/Accomplishments
Did they used to ask about your day or your progress on something you were working on and then get excited or sad for you? Well, if they stop doing that and don’t seem to care about those things in your life anymore, it may be a sign they’re going to dump you soon.
3. They Get Annoyed When you Try to Get Their Attention
This is a huge sign that not only is your relationship in trouble, but that they might actually be dumping you soon. When they get irritated whenever you try to be affectionate or get their attention, it shows that they really don’t even want to be intimate with you at all anymore.
4. You Have More Bad Days Than Good
There will always be bad days in any relationship. That’s only healthy. But when you have more bad days than good ones, you may want to start preparing for a breakup. Some people even try to make more bad days so you’ll end things before they do. Cowards.
5. Something Feels Off
Your instincts are very strong. Many people dismiss when they feel like something is wrong or off only to end up completely destroyed when their heart gets ripped out. But hey, you did know something was wrong! You just ignored it. So don’t do that. When you feel like something is off and it just doesn’t feel right anymore, start preparing for a breakup.
Most of the time, you’ll be able to sense if something is wrong in your relationship. The best thing you can do is just talk to them and see what’s going on before jumping to conclusions.
